Category Archives: Portrait I shot this family photo at Heritage of Wake Forest for the holidays and couldn’t post it sooner because they used it for their holiday card and didn’t want anyone to see it! They were such an easy family to photograph and I can’t wait to see them again.  I never grow tired of making that connection with the person I am photographing. After carefully instructing a casual pose I wait for that moment when your eyes are gazing right into the lens. Of course from my point of view you are looking at me and I’m looking at you.  Steeped in culture and history dating back to the Mayan and Aztecs, the traditional Quinceaneras is the celebration of a young Hispanic woman coming to the age when her family acknowledges and celebrates with her that she is a young woman and no longer a child. It remains a fairy tale dream of young Hispanic...  I never grow tired of photographing children! And even though mom and dad want big smiling faces, it is the quiet and thoughtful poses that I like the best. |
